Radley is a British brand and was created by Lowell Harder, who started selling men’s accessories at Camden Market. Lowell became fed up with seeing plain handbags in just back and blue and by 1988 had launched Radley.
After playing around with different ideas the Scottie dog became the famous Radley emblem that we all know and love. In 2005 they opened their first store on the Kings Road and soon became a huge UK brand with added international success. There has even been a capsule collection with the Victoria & Albert museum.
I was very lucky to be given the chance to trial this beautiful black leather tote; it’s a really good size and I love the ‘A dog is a girl’s best friend’ slogan on the front.
Radley now do other accessories including gloves, scarves, sunglasses and March this year saw the launch of their Radley fragrance. I was very lucky to also get the chance to try this lovely Radley watch, which has a leather strap and features on the watch face the Radley Scottie dog in a red bag.
